Organizer: Kristoff Porcelain
An exhibition of designs and decors produced at Kristoff factory in the previous year. Among the presented works you may find Vortex and Ripple – the effect of collaboration between Kristoff Procelain Factory and Polish visual artist Maurycy Gomulicki. These platters are a continuation of his previous work called Second Hand, presented in 2013 in Leto Gallery Warsaw. That work was an effect of tracing the remains of Op Art in everyday surroundings. Gomulicki is eager to flirt with modernism and minimalism, while being a keen anthropologist of widely understood popular culture. For many years he has been collecting porcelain works of Polish Design Institute from 50s and 60s. Aside from his other works (mostly large format installations in public spaces) he recently designed a series of porcelain figurines, which were decorated by Kristoff. The exhibition is connected with a presentation of large format photographic works.
