Agnieszka_Jacobson1Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka – Meritorical consultant of Lodz Design Festival, independent design curator, Head of Design at the School of Form, Poznan, Poland. Design critic, journalist, publicist.
Ever since she switched from writing about design in “Elle Decoration” – the magazine she had introduced to the Polish market and chief-edited for seven years (2000-2007) – to creating and organizing design exhibitions, Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka became one of the most prominent promoters of young designers from Poland and abroad. In 2008 she became the artistic director of Lodz Design Festival (www.lodzdesign.com) and since then has been curating several of the main festival events (Play&Joke 2008, Design Tales 2009, Crumple Zone 2010).
Since 2011 she is the director of the design program at School of Form in Poznan, Poland (www.sof.edu.pl) – a new educational project created in cooperation with Lidewij Edelkoort under the auspices of Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities. She also heads the department of Domestic Design there. Her most renowned curatorial projects are Polska Folk, Materia Prima, Dziecinada: Polish Design for Children, and Unpolished (together with Pawel Grobelny – www.unpolished.pl) – presented at several festivals and design museums worldwide.
Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka lectures on design and current trends, publishes in national design and lifestyle press, judges numerous design contests – all in the name of making design and its functions more accessible and comprehensible.
Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka lives in Warsaw. She graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk.

Jan Sukiennik (Kopiowanie)Jan Sukiennik – owns the 137kilo design atelier. He conducts projects in design of exhibitions, scenography, interior and architecture. He was co-author of arrangement of Łódź Design Festival in 2011 and Warsaw in Construction 5 exhibition. He runs a project of Służewski Culture Centre with WWA atelier. In 2013 his atelier, along with Charlie Koolhaas won first prize in contest to design the exhibition of Warsaw Praga Museum.

Rene Wawrzkiewicz foto Agata Banas (Kopiowanie)Rene Wawrzkiewicz – designer, researcher and design curator. He is a graduate student of Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. He is a co-owner of Mamastudio (2001-2008), one of the first, independent design studios in Poland. Curator and originator of Design of the Year, a program and contest that is dedicated to description and assessment of graphic design in Poland. Organizer of the first graphic design festival in Poland – Targi Wiedzy Graficznej (Graphic Knowledge Fair). Co-founder of All-Polish Graphic Designers Society (STGU) and Design Criticism Workshop – a think-tank which is dealing with design culture in Central Europe. He is also a teacher and counselor of Communication Design Department at School of Form in Poznań.

Tomek Rygalik photo-Zosia Zija Jacek Pioro (Kopiowanie)Tomek Rygalik was born in Łódź in 1976. For two years, he was studying architecture at the Technical University of Łódź. In 1999 he graduated from the Design Department at the Pratt Institite of New York. After he has finished studying, he worked as design consultant with many companies in United States, including Kodak Polaroid, Mtv, PerkinElmer, Dentsply, Unilever and Dupont. In 2003 he started postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Art. After graduation in 2005, he became a researcher at RCA. During this time, he also established his own design studio with locations in London and Łódź. In 2008 he started teaching at Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (Platform PG13) and in 2009 he moved permanently to Warsaw. From 2010 till 2012 he was the artistic director of Comforty, leading Polish furniture brand.

Magda Kochanowska (Kopiowanie)Magda Kochanowska is an academic professor, author of many articles, editor and curator. She is adjunct of Theory and History of Design at Design Department of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is dealing with the history, theory and criticism of modern design. Since 2004, she is cooperating with ”2+3D” magazine. She also works as an independent consultant, she is helping many firms to establish and develop cooperation with designers. She belongs to Designers of Industrial Forms Society, which belongs to international designers organization – BEDA.

Initiator and co-organizer of a number of projects related to the creative industries, including: Advertising Festival Ad Days, Creative Industries Conference, Art_Inkubator or Fotofestiwal. Co-founder of Łódź Art Center, a member of the team dealing with popularisation of design in Lodz.

481068_583839324961173_13337241_nMałgorzata Żmijska – graduate of the Department of Economy and Sociology, faculty of sociology with a specialisation in communication and media. Małgorzata Żmijska has actively participated in organising cultural events since 2005. Performed the function of coordinator of the International Festival of Photography and Design Festival in the years 2005-2009. In 2008, at the request of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the Foundation of Visual Education, she carried out the international “Photopoland” project promoting Polish photographers around the globe (among others: Nicolas Grospierre, Kramarz & Łodzińska, Szymon Rogiński, Przemysław Pokrycki). Since 2008 she has been a permanent employee of the Art Factory in Lodz, where she completed local projects in culture animation, film, contemporary art and design. Since 2010 she has performed the function of Programme Director of the International Design Festival in Lodz.
